Paige Arthur

Paige began her Martial Arts journey after getting out of the military in 2018. She achieved 8th Kyu in Traditional Samurai Jujitsu through the World Jujitsu Federation based in the UK. After her Sensei retired she had some medical issues that prevented her from continuing at that time. In March of 2021 she saw a post in the Midway Community Facebook Page about a new dojo opening in Midway and decided to come to the open house and check it out. She has been with us ever since! She says, "Martial arts is important to me because of the confidence and discipline it adds to other areas of my life. The skills I am learning at USYKA of Georgia make me confident that I have the ability to defend myself if needed. I love to help teach the kids and watch them grow, the whole dojo has become a second family for me! I am thankful to Sensei Justin and his family for their contributions to our community by opening this dojo and look forward to being a part of it for years to come!"

Ryan 'Stingray' Boyce

Ryan started Taekwondo back in 2006 when he was in Highschool. Despite being pretty good at it, when he started his first job, he gradually stopped going to classes as other things began taking priority. One thing he always missed was how confident and healthy he felt having that kind of intense physical activity in his life that he'd tackle a few times a week. Ryan says, "More than a decade later, when Justin opened his dojo, I eagerly signed up as soon as the first class was scheduled, remembering the feelings that drew me into studying martial arts in the first place. I came to USYKA Georgia to continue studying what I've always been interested in but what I've also found is new friends, a sensei who is very passionate about teaching, and an opportunity to influence the kids in our community with something that always brought out the best in me when I was young. I'm very proud to be a part of the story of USYKA Georgia and hope I will be for years to come."
